About

G. H. “Joe” Boies, Sr. is the principal behind Raven Crest.  Joe has been working in construction since 1953, and has been building homes in the Santa Fe area since 1960.  He started what is now Raven Crest in 1984.

Joe has a college degree from New Mexico Highlands University.  He was honorably discharged from the US Army.

After a series of positions in the construction industry, including a 3 year stint at Bechtel, Joe moved to Santa Fe in 1972 and began building in the area as founder, half owner, and general manager of Royal City Builders.

From 1984 on, Joe has been running his own company.  In the fall of 1990, he began construction of the first affordable homes in the Westview Subdivision.  In 1992 he built 27 homes in Cielo Vista.  Between 1992 and 1993 he built 22 homes in Las Acequias IV subdivision.  In 1998, a 10 acre parcel in Santa Fe was developed to yield 88 condominiums.

Most recently 29 homes were built for Homewise, Inc, with a large portion being in the “affordable” category.  After a few years off, Joe is back in the saddle, looking to make you the custom home of your dreams, either on your lot or on a lot that we can help you purchase.

Joe is past President of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association.  He is founder and chairman of the Sensible Growth Advisory Group, a non-profit organization setting ethical standards for future growth for the City of Santa Fe.  He was chairman of the Community Development Commission (ad advisory board to the Santa Fe City Council on matters concerning usage of Community Development funds provided by the federal government.)

He is a Life Director of the New Mexico State Home Builders Association.
